Looking for a way to celebrate the season, Easter-style? Look no further than the events listed below:

March 18th – Egg Story Time – 11a-12p (Lansing)
Egg is a graphic novel for preschoolers about four eggs, one big surprise, and an unlikely friendship by Caldecott Medalist and New York Times bestselling author Kevin Henkes. Join Barnes & Noble in the Lansing Mall for story time with coloring and activities to following.

April 2nd – Underwater Easter Egg Hunt – 1p – 2:30p (Howell)
Dive in for some egg-stra special fun when you hunt for eggs underwater!  Some eggs will be floating for little tykes while others will sink.  Children will be grouped together by age and will have their own special time to hunt.  Prizes will be awarded for finding the Easter Bunny’s lost eggs.  Please bring a waterproof basket or egg holder and a towel.   You may also bring a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket.  For everyone’s safety, a parent must accompany non-swimmers under 48″ tall into the pool.   Cost is $6/person or $20/family of 4 (with $3/each additional swimmer).  Register by calling 517-540-8355.  Event will take place at the Howell Area Aquatics & Fitness Center – 1224 West Grand River, Howell.

April 6th – Pancakes with the Easter Bunny – 5:30p-7:30p (Charlotte)
Bring your camera and snap your own photo with the Easter Bunny! Cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children, and kids 2 and under are FREE. Enjoy pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, and beverages. Located at the Eaton County Senior Center – 804 South Cochran Road, Charlotte. Question – 517-541-2934.

April 8th – Indoor Easter Egg Hunt – 10a-12p (Portland)
Bring your kiddos to the annual indoor egg hunt at the Portland District Library (334 Kent Street).   Egg hunt starts promptly at 10a with kids 6 and under searching downstairs, and kids 7 and older hunting upstairs.   There will also be crafts, games, and other activities.

April 8th – Underwater Egg Hunt – 1:30p (Lansing)
The Schmidt Community Center will be hosting an Underwater Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8th.  Bring your suit, towel, and a basket to collect eggs.  Cost is $7/person. To register, call 517-483-6685.  Location: 5825 Wise Road , Lansing.

April 8th – Easter Egg Hunt – 3p (DeWitt)
The annual DeWitt Area Recreation Authority Easter Egg Hunt is on Saturday, April 8, 2017. The hunt will begin at 3:00 pm! The Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the DeWitt Sports Park.The Egg Hunt is for children ages 1 – 10 years old with areas set aside for the different age groups. Please bring a container for eggs and prizes. There is a rumor that the Easter Bunny may show up!!! This event is FREE! April 9th – Easter Bunny Brunch – 10a (East Lansing)
Tickets available for purchase at www.playeastlansing.com.   Enjoy a catered brunch with the Easter Bunny and then stay for pictures while dancing to fantastic tunes spun by Tim the Music Man.   Arts and crafts, egg decorating, Easter Egg hunt, treats and games await you.  Register early, spaces will fill up!  Ages 0-7.  Location: play – 4972 Northwind Drive.

April 10th – Easter Bunny Event – 5:45p (Bath)
Doors open promptly at 5:45p.  Watch the Bath Parks & Rec website for more information as the date nears.  Ages 1 – 10, FREE. The egg hunt will consist of approximately 3,000 eggs, each filled with a special sweet treat!! Everyone who registers will have a chance to take home an Easter basket, candy & prize. The first 60 to register will receive a special giveaway. One lucky winner will receive the Grand Prize of a 1 night stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lansing.  Must be present to win.  Bring your camera to snap a photo with the Easter Bunny.  Location:  Bath Twp. Soccer Field however Bath MS Cafeteria if weather is wet or poor.

April 12th – Easter Bunny Visit – 6p-7p (Lansing)
The Easter Bunny will be hopping over to the Delta Township Enrichment Center for a meet and greet with local children. Parents – don’t forget your cameras to get a picture. April 15th – Bunny Hop & 5K (East Lansing)
The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan is debuting a new run in East Lansing – the Bunny Hop 5K Kidney Run/Walk. This is a family-friendly Easter-themed event taking place on the campus of MSU. Be sure to stick around for an Easter Egg Scramble, an egg hunt for children ages 12 and under. For more information and to register, log on to www.nkfm.org/bunnyhop .

April 15th – Breakfast With The Bunny – 9:30a, 11:30a (Howell)
Join the Howell Nature Center (1005 Triangle Lake Road) for a pancake breakfast complete with sausage and all the trimmings!  Children will also be greeted by the Easter Bunny, receive a special gift, and enjoy an old-fashioned Easter Egg Hunt.  Be sure to bring your camera.  Registration and ticket information available here!

April 15th – Bunny Hop – 1p-4p (Lansing)
Join the Lansing City  Market for their annual Bunny Hop!  Bring the kids for a free Easter Egg Hunt and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny himself.   Check the Lansing City Market’s website for more information.

April 15th – Easter Eggstravaganza – 1p-4p (Lowell)
Decorate eggs, egg hunt, games, and photo ops with the Easter Bunny await you at Red Barn Market Ice Cream and Fresh Produce (3550 Alden Nash Ave NE).   Cost $3/child.

April 15th – City of Eaton Rapids Easter Egg Hunt – 2p-3p (Eaton Rapids)
Once again, the City of Eaton Rapids will be holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt featuring thousands of candy-filled eggs including three golden price eggs, and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. There will be face-painting, arts and crafts, and more. Bring your Easter Basket and your camera and enjoy an afternoon of family fun! Located at Howe Memorial Field on Smith Drive.

April 15th – Annual Doggie Easter Egg Hunt & Kids Extravaganza – 2p-4p (Lansing)
Kids’ registration begins at 1:30p ($8/child, under 2 are FREE). Dog registration begins at 2p ($12/dog, $6/each additional dog). The kids’ egg hunt begins promptly at 2:30p with the doggie hunt beginning at 3p. In addition, other activities include kids’ crafts and games, photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, and much more. Photos will be taken for $5/each. Online registration is open until 5p on Friday, April 14th. Go to here to register.  This event will take place at Hawk Island.

April 15th – Childrenz Challenge Egg Hunt – 2p – 5p (Jackson)
Food vendors, businesses, mini obstacle course, music, and egg hunt and more await you at Jackson’s Northwest Elementary School (3757 Lansing Avenue).  The egg hunt will begin at 4p and children will be grouped by age.

April 15th – Egg Hunt – 3p (Grand Ledge)
Join Eaton County Parks for a FREE Easter Egg Hunt starting at 3p at Fitzgerald Park.  There will be a chance to meet the Easter Bunny, prizes, and candy.  Geared towards ages 2-10.

April 15th – Teen Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt – 8:30p-9:30p (Eaton Rapids)
Located at GAR Island in Eaton Rapids, this super-cool teen only egg hunt will be tons of fun with a unique twist. Bring your flashlight, a basket, and a friend or two for a crazy evening of egg hunting in the dark. Tons of treats in eggs to be found and one lucky winner will find the Golden Egg. If you do, and you can solve the CODEX you’ll win the Grand Prize!

** Accessible Egg Hunt **
April 8th – Accessible Easter Egg Hunt – 11a (DeWitt)
Registration begins March 1st and will run through April 3 at www.dewittrecreation.org.  Click on Youth Sports, Miracle League Baseball, and then Accessible Easter Egg Hunt.  Hunt will be located at CASE Cares Miracle Field.

The following events are just outside of our coverage area, but are noteworthy enough to share if you are traveling for the Easter holiday.

March 11th – Photos with the Easter Bunny – 11a – 4p (Fenton)
Stop on out to Gerych’s Special Events & Floral Design for a photo op with the Easter Bunny.  Photo packages start at just $16.50.   Come early as the Easter Bunny has another engagement and must leave promptly at 4p.

April 8 – Easter Egg-Stravaganza – 10a-12p (Westland)
Come on out and join the Westland Jaycees for their annual Easter Egg Hunt!  There will be an egg hunt, breakfast, music, face-painting, crafts, cake walk, meet and greets with the Easter Bunny and more!  Hunt starts at 10:30a and children will hunt by age.  Cost is $3/child (ages 1-13) and $1/child (ages 14+).  Under 1 year of age are free.  Located:  Wayne Ford Civic League, 1661 North Wayne Road, Westland.

April 14th – Easter Bunny Express 2p-3:30p (Coldwater)
Bring the kids and enjoy a spectactular train ride.  Kids will have the opportunity to take a photo with the Easter Bunny and enjoy a traditional egg hunt at Quincy Park.  Tickets are $20/adult ages 12+, $13/children ages 3-11, kids 2 and under are FREE.  To make reservations, call 517-227-5488 or log on to www.littleriverrailroad.com.

April 14th & April 15th – Bunnyville – 9a-3p (Detroit)
Hop on over to the Detroit Zoo for an eggstravaganza celebration featuring crafts, live entertainment, zookeeper talks, and more! Bunnyville activities are FREE with paid admission and will feature a golden egg hung with more than 100 eggs hidden throughout the zoo each day, the Jelly Bean Jamboree, whisker painting, and photo ops with the Easter Bunny (available for purchase).

April 15th – Oak Arbor Easter Egg Hunt – 2p – 4p (Rochester)
For kids ages 12 and under.  Registration starts at 2p and the hunt will start at 2:30p.  The Easter Bunny, crafts and activities will also be present.  FREE.  Location:  495 Oak Arbor Circle West.

April 15th – KultureCity Sensory Friendly Egg Hunt – 12p (Byron Center)
This is a special event to allow children that cannot participate in other hunts an amazing opportunity designed just for them! The Easter Bunny will be onsite handing out surprises to the children and refreshments will be served.   (For the enjoyment of the participants, we ask that those with siblings be allowed to walk alongside but not participate).  Location: Brewer Park – 84th Street SE, Byron Center.  For more information – https://www.facebook.com/KCGREggHunt/
