Bring a white shirt and the library will provide paint and space to create a masterpiece (or mess). You may want to wear clothes that can get fabric paint on them. This event is held outside. FREE.
Meridian Township Celebrates 175 years! (Meridian Township) – 11a – 11p
Central Park North, Farmers’ Market Pavilion and/or Historical Village
An all day celebration is planned as Meridian Township celebrates 175 years. Activities include a parade, dog parade and pet adoption, kids’ activities including a clown, face painting, and inflatables, car show, food truck rally, vintage photo booth, and musical performances throughout the day. Lansing’s 2017 4th of July Celebration (downtown Lansing) – 11a – 11p
Celebrate America’s Independence Day with a day full of clowns, antique and specialty automobiles, dance troops, community groups and military units. Festivities kick off at 11a with a parade and continue throughout the day with a free community concert by the Lansing Concert Band, and conclude with fireworks at the Adado Riverfront Park at 10p. 4th of July Celebration (St. Johns) – 7p
Head on down to City Park on Tuesday, July 4th at 7p for the annual Rotary Club 4th of July celebration! Festivities begin at 7p with the band Life Support playing until dark, then firework start at approximately 10p. The Lions Club will have refreshments available for purchase. No admission fee.
Lansing Lugnuts vs. West Michigan Whitecaps/Fourth of July Celebration –(Lansing) – 7:05p
Cooley Law School Stadium
The first pitch to be thrown at 7:05p. Go NUTS downtown for a Lugnuts’ baseball game. Stay for the Independence Day Fireworks sponsored by LAFCU. Admission price varies based on ticket value. Questions – call 517-485-4500.
Mason’s Independence Day Parade (Mason) – 7:30p – 8:30p
Come out to celebrate America’s Independence in downtown Mason on Tuesday, July 4th beginning at 7:30p with a parade featuring local businesses, groups, and organizations. This is an open parade and pre-registration is not required, however, if you must check in at the MACC booth at the staging area to participate and receive your parade number.
